World Cup 2026: Ghana fans face $1,265 bill to watch Colombia showdown
Ghanaian supporters eager to witness the Black Stars’ FIFA World Cup Round of 32 showdown against Colombia in person are facing a hefty price tag, with official match tickets costing as much as $1,265.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has released its supporter ticket packages for Saturday’s knockout fixture at Kansas City Stadium. The Premier Supporter package is selling for $1,265, while the Standard Supporter package is available for $1,100.
The announcement marks a sharp contrast to the group stage, when thousands of Ghanaian fans benefited from the government’s World Cup ticket initiative.
The programme covered 2,922 complimentary tickets across the Black Stars’ three opening matches but has now been discontinued.
Supporters intending to travel for the Colombia clash have been instructed to secure their tickets through the GFA, with purchases subject to availability.
Ghana booked their place in the knockout stage after advancing as one of the competition’s best third-placed nations, while Colombia progressed after finishing top of Group K.
The winner of Saturday’s contest will earn a place in the Round of 16 of the expanded 48-team FIFA World Cup, with Ghana chasing another memorable chapter on the global stage despite the significant cost many fans must now bear to watch from the stands.
