Al Ahly to unveil new coach Hussein Ammouta

Egyptian giants Al Ahly are set to unveil Moroccan tactician Hussein Ammouta as their new head coach as preparations begin for the upcoming 2026/27 season.

Ammouta is expected to arrive in the Egyptian capital on July 4 or 5 before being formally presented to the club supporters.

The experienced coach has already begun working behind the scenes despite not yet officially taking charge in person.

As per reports, Ammouta has started reviewing Al Ahly’s squad as he prepares for the upcoming season, identifying players he intends to keep as well as those who could leave during the summer transfer window.

The Moroccan manager is also said to be assessing several players before making final decisions on their futures at the club.
