PSG close in on Maghnes Akliouche

PSG are leading the race to sign Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, with the World Cup breakout star favouring a move to the European champions.

PSG are in pole position to sign Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, moving ahead of several Premier League clubs in the battle for his signature, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The French attacker, who made his World Cup debut against Iraq, is reportedly ready for the next big step in his career and is said to favour joining the European champions.

Monaco, aware of the growing interest, are bracing themselves for bids and prepared to cash in on Akliouche for a significant fee this summer. The 24-year-old is widely regarded as one of the standout talents in Ligue 1 after a superb season in which he scored seven goals and delivered 11 assists. His technical ability, dribbling and ball progression have made him one of the most exciting creative players in the French top flight.

PSG football advisor Luis Campos has been monitoring Akliouche for a long time, while head coach Luis Enrique is also an admirer of his profile.

The Paris club are expected to reinforce their attack, especially with Goncalo Ramos close to joining AC Milan and possible departures for Lee Kang-in and Bradley Barcola, making Akliouche a priority target to refresh their forward line.
