Zamalek officials, led by President Hussein Labib, are actively pursuing the reinforcement of the first football team with formidable signings during the ongoing winter transfer window.
In the past hours, Zamalek decisively secured 10 high-profile deals to strengthen the football team for the winter transfers.
This followed the lifting of the registration ban imposed on the club. The recent acquisitions include Abdullah El-Said, Saif Farouk Jafar, Mahab Yasser, Nasser Maher, Mohamed Atef, Mohamed Shihata, Palestinian defender Yasser Hamad, Ugandan winger Travis Mutyaba (under the age of 19), Ziad Kamal, and Ahmed Hamdi.
The decision by the Football Association to extend the winter transfer window until February 6th has prompted Zamalek officials to finalize two additional signings before the closure of the winter transfer window.
According to “Al-Masry Al-Youm,” the Zamalek administration is on the verge of completing a deal with Syrian international winger Mahmoud Al-Aswad, who currently plays for Al-Karamah in Syria.
The proposed arrangement involves a loan period of one and a half seasons with a purchase option. If the deal is officially completed, the White Knights will register the 19-year-old player as an under-19 player.
Zamalek is also nearing the completion of a deal with Mustafa Ashraf, a midfielder from Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany.
The expected cost of the transfer is $200,000, payable in installments.
As the transfer deadline approaches, Zamalek aims to secure these two additional signings, demonstrating the club’s commitment to building a competitive squad for the challenges ahead.
The potential additions of Mahmoud Al-Aswad and Mustafa Ashraf are anticipated to bring further depth and quality to Zamalek’s roster, enhancing their prospects in domestic and continental competitions.
The Zamalek faithful eagerly await official confirmation of these signings, hoping for a strengthened squad that can make a significant impact in the remainder of the season.
