Carlo Ancelotti tops list of highest-paid coaches at 2026 World Cup
Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly the highest-paid manager at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the Italian said to be earning €10 million annually.
Salary figures circulating on June 19, 2026, placed Ancelotti ahead of several high-profile counterparts, including Germany’s Julian Nagelsmann, United States coach Mauricio Pochettino and England manager Thomas Tuchel.
While the figures have not been officially confirmed by the respective football federations, they provide an insight into the financial investment national associations are making in elite coaching talent during the ongoing tournament.
Ancelotti, who took charge of Brazil following a highly successful club career in Europe, leads the rankings with a reported yearly salary of €10 million, making the Brazilian Football Confederation the highest spender on a national team coach among the teams listed.
Germany boss Nagelsmann occupies second place with a reported annual salary of €7 million, while Pochettino, currently in charge of the United States, is said to earn €6 million per year.
England manager Tuchel follows closely in fourth position on €5.8 million annually.
Portugal coach Roberto Martinez and Uzbekistan’s Fabio Cannavaro are jointly ranked fifth, with both reportedly earning €4 million a year. France manager Didier Deschamps is next on the list with a salary of €3.8 million.
Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman and Uruguay manager Marcelo Bielsa are both reported to be earning €3 million annually, while Canada boss Jesse Marsch completes the top 10 with an annual salary of €2.5 million.
According to reports, the salary rankings were initially published by Brazilian outlet O Globo Esportes before being widely echoed by other media outlets covering the World Cup.
Ancelotti’s reported earnings are €3 million higher than Nagelsmann’s and €4.2 million more than Tuchel’s salary with England.
The figures underline the growing financial commitment of several football federations, particularly Brazil, England, Germany and the United States, as they seek success on the biggest stage in international football.
