Morocco will travel from New York to Boston on Wednesday, June 17, as preparations intensify for their second Group C match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Scotland.

The Atlas Lions, led by head coach Mohamed Ouahbi, are scheduled to face Scotland on Friday, June 19, at Gillette Stadium, with kick-off set for 11:00 PM Moroccan time.

Focus Shifts to Scotland Test

Following their impressive opening performance against Brazil, Morocco will be aiming to build on the momentum gained from a hard-fought 1-1 draw against one of the tournament favourites.

Achraf Hakimi and his teammates earned widespread praise for their display against the five-time world champions, producing a disciplined and confident performance to claim a valuable point in their opening Group C fixture.

With Scotland arriving on the back of a victory over Haiti, Friday’s encounter could prove pivotal in the race for qualification to the knockout stages.

Final Preparations Scheduled

Morocco’s final training session ahead of the match will take place on Thursday in Boston, while the traditional pre-match press conference is also scheduled for the same day.

Coach Ouahbi is expected to address the media alongside one of his players as the Atlas Lions put the finishing touches on their preparations for the crucial showdown.

Scotland Lead Group C

Scotland currently sit at the top of Group C after securing a narrow 1-0 victory over Haiti in their opening match.

The result has set up an intriguing contest between two sides who enjoyed positive starts to their World Cup campaigns and know that another strong result would significantly boost their hopes of reaching the Round of 32.

Haiti Awaits in Final Group Match

After facing Scotland, Morocco will conclude their Group C campaign against Haiti on June 24 in Atlanta.

The match is also scheduled to kick off at 11:00 PM Moroccan time and could have a decisive impact on the final standings in the group.

For now, however, all attention is on Boston, where the Atlas Lions will look to take another major step towards the knockout stages when they face Scotland on Friday night.
