PSG-Liverpool battle heats up for Bundesliga star Yan Diomande

Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool are locked in a fierce behind-the-scenes battle to secure RB Leipzig’s Bundesliga sensation, Yan Diomande.

The European giants are neck-and-neck, according to insider Fabrizio Romano.

The 19-year-old Ivorian international has become PSG’s priority target to energize their wings next season. Diomande delivered a massive campaign in Germany with 13 goals and 10 assists across all competitions, perfectly matching Luis Enrique’s desired profile. With the player wanting to finalize his future before the 2026 World Cup, PSG is pushing hard to sway the deal, though they acknowledge rare competition intensity.

The transfer could exceed €100 million. Romano stated firmly: “Diomande will absolutely be a player to follow. He is sought by Liverpool and PSG. Both clubs are still in the race”.

While PSG actively pushes to finalize a principal agreement, Liverpool is particularly insistent, viewing Diomande as Mohamed Salah’s long-term successor.

The Merseyside club presses aggressively with significant financial guarantees, capitalizing on PSG’s need to clarify Bradley Barcola’s future first. RB Leipzig’s directors rub their hands with delight, refusing any departure below €100 million and setting auctions around €120 million for their jewel, contracted until 2030.
