Venezia FC targets Gift Orban for Serie A season
Gift Orban could make another Serie A season, with newly promoted Venezia FC exploring the 23-year-old Nigerian striker from TSG Hoffenheim, according to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
The report indicates this remains preliminary scouting rather than concrete negotiations. No official agreement between the clubs has emerged yet, but Venezia now joins the list of potential suitors for Orban.
Italy already knows Orban well. He was recently loaned to Hellas Verona, where he delivered strong performances. In 29 competitive matches, the Nigerian scored seven goals and added three assists, earning attention despite Hellas ultimately failing to avoid relegation.
Orban remains contracted to TSG Hoffenheim until 2029. Whether the striker has long-term ambitions in the Kraichgau or another transfer becomes the focus remains uncertain, but Italian interest clearly persists.
The 23-year-old’s attacking pace and goal-scoring ability attracted multiple European clubs during his Verona loan. His Bundesliga experience at Hoffenheim, where he made 13 appearances in 2024/25, demonstrates his competitive readiness.
Venezia prepares for its Serie A return, with Orban representing an affordable option with proven Italian league experience and potential for immediate impact.
