Eduardo Camavinga faces new crisis after World Cup omission

Eduardo Camavinga is navigating some of the most difficult moments of his career.

Just weeks after receiving a red card in the Champions League quarter-final that triggered Real Madrid’s elimination, the 23-year-old French midfielder was left out of Didier Deschamps’ World Cup squad.

The situation appears to be worsening at the Bernabeu. New manager Jose Mourinho has taken charge at Real Madrid, replacing Alvaro Arbeloa in May, and according to SPORT, the Portuguese coach has already made decisive changes to the squad for next season.

Camavinga joins Rodrygo Goes, Franco Mastantuono, Raul Asencio, Dani Ceballos, and Fran Garcia on Mourinho’s blacklist. The Spanish media outlet revealed that the “Special One” does not plan to rely on these players for his first season at Real Madrid since 2012/2013.

The French international is likely to pack his bags after his five seasons at Real Madrid if a right offer comes.

After two World Cups and Euro 2024, Camavinga must wait for his third major competition with France unless he leaves Madrid. The midfielder is reportedly being courted by Premier League clubs as his position at the Casa Blanca grows increasingly uncertain.
