In a surprising turn of events, Karim Al-Iraqi, the right-back for the first football team of Egypt’s Al-Masry Al-Port Said, has successfully reclaimed his contracts from Zamalek SC in recent hours.
Karim Al-Iraqi had recently inked a deal to join Zamalek SC for a duration of three and a half seasons, as confirmed in the presence of Ahmed Suleiman, a member of the board of the White Castle (Zamalek SC) and the overall supervisor of the football team.
This signing was part of the ongoing winter transfer window.
Sources indicate that, in the past hours, Karim Al-Iraqi has managed to retrieve his contracts from Zamalek SC.
This follows the failure of the White Knights’ officials to finalize the deal during the current winter transfer window.
The management of Al-Masry Al-Port Said has insisted on retaining the player in their ranks until the conclusion of the current season.
The 26-year-old player has obtained copies of the contracts that he had previously signed with Zamalek SC after the deal fell through in January.
Despite the urging from Zamalek officials for Al-Iraqi to join the team at the end of the current season as a free agent, he firmly expressed his primary desire to pursue a European professional experience in the upcoming season.
Notably, he has received an offer from a Belgian club interested in acquiring him on a free transfer.
