Ansu Fati matches Ousmane Dembele goal tally in Ligue 1
After securing a 2-1 victory for Monaco on Saturday, Ansu Fati not only broke his personal record for league goals in a single season but also reached the same scoring total as Ousmane Dembele in Ligue 1.
The Barcelona loanee has now equaled the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner’s goal count, as reported by Foot Mercato.
Fati has netted 10 goals across nine starts in 23 Ligue 1 appearances this season. Dembele has also scored 10 times from nine starts, though the PSG star achieved this feat in just 19 matches, four fewer than the Spanish forward.
When examining playing time, Fati reached his 10-goal milestone in 964 minutes, while Dembele accomplished the same tally in 931 minutes. Despite the slight difference in efficiency, both players have demonstrated impressive scoring records throughout the current Ligue 1 campaign. The comparison highlights Fati’s productive spell at Monaco during his loan stint from Barcelona.
Ansu Fati joined AS Monaco on a one-year loan from FC Barcelona in July 2025. Fati marked his debut for Monaco on 18 September 2025 in a UEFA Champions League league phase match against Club Brugge, scoring a consolation goal in the 90+2nd minute during a 4-1 loss, demonstrating his clinical finishing despite the team’s defensive struggles.
