Achraf Dari’s future hangs in the balance as Swedish side Kalmar weigh permanent move
Moroccan defender Achraf Dari could be set to extend his stay in Sweden beyond the current season, with reports suggesting his loan spell at Kalmar may be turned into a permanent transfer this summer.
Dari joined Kalmar in March on loan from Egyptian giants Al-Ahly, with the Swedish club securing an option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign.
According to Moroccan outlet Hesport, Al-Ahly have no objections to a full transfer should Kalmar decide to activate the purchase clause, particularly given the positive impression the player has made during his short stint abroad.
Kalmar, for their part, are understood to be seriously evaluating a permanent deal after the 26-year-old quickly established himself as a regular starter.
The defender has already contributed with a goal and has reportedly adapted well to the demands of the Swedish league.
With his performances drawing internal approval, the likelihood of Dari continuing his career in Sweden appears to be growing, although a final decision is expected to be made during the upcoming summer transfer window.
