French coach Patrice Carteron is facing growing pressure at Wydad Athletic Club as he prepares for a decisive fixture against Ittihad Yaacoub Mansour.
The Round 17 fixture in the Botola Pro could determine the coach’s future amid growing pressure from fans over poor results.
Tactical Changes Expected
According to informed sources, Carteron is set to ring changes to his starting lineup in a bid to turn around the club’s recent poor form. The adjustments come after a string of disappointing results that have left the team struggling to find consistency.
The French tactician, who replaced Mohamed Amine Benhachem, is still searching for the right balance within the squad. His approach in recent matches has involved experimenting with different setups, as he looks to restore Wydad’s competitive edge.
Winless Run Raises Concerns
Carteron’s tenure has yet to deliver a victory after four matches in charge. Wydad recorded draws against Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi and Kawkab Marrakech, while suffering defeats to FUS Rabat and Maghreb Fez.
This run of results has intensified scrutiny on the coach, with his position increasingly under threat as performances continue to fall below expectations.

Wydad will take on Ittihad Yaacoub Mansour on Wednesday at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.
Kick-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM, with the match seen as a crucial opportunity for Carteron to steady the ship and ease the pressure surrounding his future.
