Leipzig determined to keep Yan Diomande amid surge in transfer interest

Yan Diomande has emerged as one of Europe’s most sought-after young wingers, but RB Leipzig are keen to keep him for at least one more season as they plan for another Champions League campaign.

The 19-year-old, under contract until 2030, is being closely followed by Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool after a standout year in the Bundesliga.

Leipzig’s strong contractual position means they are under no pressure to sell, yet the club reportedly needs to generate around €100m in player sales this summer. That financial reality could force them to listen to major offers for Diomande, even if their priority is to keep him in Marco Rose’s squad for 2026/27.

BILD reports that one possible solution would be a big-money transfer agreed this summer, with Diomande remaining in Leipzig on loan for another season. Such an arrangement would allow Leipzig to balance their books while still relying on one of their most dynamic attacking threats in the Champions League.

A decision may ultimately hinge on how patient Europe’s elite are willing to be for a player who has delivered 13 goals and 8 assists in 33 appearances across all competitions this season.
