Frank Zambo Anguissa on the radar on Besiktas

Turkish outfit Besiktas have joined the race for the acquisition of Cameroon international Frank Zambo Anguissa ahead of the summer transfer window, as uncertainty continues over his future at SSC Napoli.

The midfielder remains under contract with Napoli until 2027, but with no agreement yet reached over an extension, speculation over a possible departure is intensifying ahead of the summer.

At 30 years old, Anguissa is believed to be open to a new challenge, and several European clubs are monitoring his situation closely. However, it is interest from Turkey that is currently gaining the most momentum.

Galatasaray SK were the first to be linked with the powerful midfielder, but they are now joined by city rivals Besiktas JK, who are reportedly eager to secure his signature as they look to strengthen their midfield options for next season.

Per reports, Besiktas have already made initial contact with Anguissa’s representatives to express their interest in a potential summer move. While discussions remain informal at this stage, the Black Eagles are understood to be serious about exploring the possibility of bringing him to Istanbul.

No official bid has yet been submitted, but the early approach suggests that negotiations could accelerate once the transfer window opens.

Anguissa has been a key figure for SSC Napoli since joining, providing physical presence, tactical balance, and consistency in midfield. His performances have made him one of the most reliable players in the squad, particularly during Napoli’s domestic and European campaigns.

However, with his contract situation unresolved and interest growing from abroad, Napoli may soon face a difficult decision regarding his future.

As things stand, the race for Anguissa’s signature is beginning to heat up, with Turkish clubs positioning themselves early in what could become one of the more intriguing midfield transfer battles of the summer window.
