Fernando Hierro backs Mohamed Salah for Real Madrid move

Real Madrid legend Fernando Hierro has added fuel to growing transfer speculation by openly backing the idea of Mohamed Salah joining Los Blancos.

The former club captain believes the Liverpool star would be an ideal fit in the Spanish capital at this stage of his career.

Salah is widely expected to leave Liverpool on a free transfer at the end of the season, bringing an end to nine hugely successful years at Anfield, although he has not yet made a final decision about his future. Asked about the prospect of the Egyptian forward moving to Madrid, Hierro did not hide his enthusiasm. „Salah to Real Madrid? Of course, I would love that. Salah is an outstanding player in every sense of the word,“ he said, underlining the winger’s world-class status.

Hierro went on to praise the scale of Salah’s achievements in England and his enduring influence on games. “No one can deny his huge impact at Liverpool and the achievements he has made, especially winning the Premier League. I would love to see him at Real Madrid, anything is possible in football,“ he added.

He stressed that Salah is the kind of player any club would want to sign, describing him as a phenomenon who consistently makes the difference whenever he steps onto the pitch.
