Vieira urges Arsenal to trust their strengths in title run in

Patrick Vieira has sent a clear message to Arsenal as the Premier League title race reaches its decisive stretch, urging his former club to stay calm and remember what has brought them this far.

With Arsenal and Manchester City neck and neck, the title could even be decided on goals scored if both sides win all their remaining matches, and City currently have a narrow edge with 66 goals to Arsenal’s 63.

The Gunners legend, who lifted the league trophy in 1998, 2002 and 2004, believes Mikel Arteta’s team must not lose sight of their identity. “I think they simply need to remember where they are and why they’re there. It means they’re top of the league, they’re in the Champions League semi-finals, and you don’t reach that level without quality, team spirit, and unity,” Vieira explained.

For him, the key now is continuity: keep winning, keep trusting their football, and avoid overthinking the pressure of the final sprint. “The goal is to win matches, and they know how to do that, since they’ve been doing it for seven or eight months… It’s essential not to change their routine. They need to continue doing what they’ve been doing and try to enjoy family time,” he added, encouraging Arsenal to lean on routine, togetherness and the qualities that have defined their season.
