Al Ahly, the reigning champions of African football, has received a proposal from Bahrain’s Al Khaldiya to secure the services of their midfielder, Mohamed Magdy “Afsha.”
FilGoal.com has learned that Al Khaldiya Bahrain has submitted an official letter to Al Ahly, expressing their interest in borrowing Afsha until the conclusion of the current season.
Afsha, 27, has been an integral part of Al Ahly since joining the club in 2019 from Pyramids FC.
Throughout the current season, he has featured in 18 matches, contributing three goals and two assists.
Since his arrival at Al Ahly, Afsha has clinched an impressive 13 titles with the club, including guiding them to victory in the 2020 CAF Champions League, where he scored the decisive goal against Zamalek in the final.
The Bahraini side, Al Khaldiya, currently occupies the third position in the Bahraini league standings with 17 points, trailing the leaders Al Riffa by just two points.
Afsha’s potential loan move to Bahrain has ignited curiosity among football enthusiasts, questioning the motive behind such a proposition, given his instrumental role in Al Ahly’s recent successes.
