A high-level delegation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is set to arrive in Uganda for a crucial round of meetings with the joint hosts of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

The two-day engagement, scheduled for April 22–23 in Kampala, represents a significant milestone as preparations for the continental showpiece begin to intensify.

The meeting will serve as a platform for CAF and the three PAMOJA host nations to review progress and outline priorities for the next phase of planning.

Key Stakeholders Convene

Bringing together key stakeholders, the sessions will include representatives from the governments of the three countries, presidents of their respective football associations, and senior CAF officials.

Among those expected to participate is Acting CAF General Secretary Samson Adamu, alongside administrative leaders from critical departments such as competitions, commercial operations, broadcasting, safety and security, and finance.

Focus on Critical Delivery Areas

The discussions will centre on essential operational areas required to successfully deliver the tournament.

These include infrastructure development, procurement processes, security frameworks, media coordination, ticketing systems, and commercial strategy, all of which are vital to ensuring a smooth and world-class event.

This initial high-level meeting underscores the shared commitment between CAF and the three host nations to work collaboratively under the PAMOJA framework.

With preparations gaining momentum, the focus remains on building strong coordination mechanisms and ensuring readiness across all aspects of tournament organisation.

CAF Reaffirms Support for Hosts

CAF has reiterated its support for Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda as they move forward with their hosting responsibilities, aiming to deliver a successful and memorable edition of AFCON in 2027.
