The Saudi club Al-Shabab has set its sights on Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, according to the British newspaper Daily Mail.
The club is looking to add the player to its ranks during the current winter transfer window to bolster its squad for the remainder of the ongoing football season.
Al-Shabab is reportedly aiming to acquire three key players during the current winter transfer market.
In addition to Hakim Ziyech, the club is interested in signing goalkeeper David De Gea and Miguel Almiron, the midfielder from Newcastle United.
Ziyech, who is on loan from Chelsea to Galatasaray in Turkey, has played 14 matches this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
The Moroccan international is currently focused on his commitments with the national team in the Africa Cup of Nations, where he has played in the group stage matches, scoring a goal and contributing to another.
Ziyech returned to the Moroccan national team’s training on Sunday with special sessions after recovering from an injury sustained in the recent match against Zambia.
He had missed the training sessions for the previous three days. The decision on his participation in the match against South Africa in the AFCON Round of 16 is still pending.
