Moroccan teenager Abdellah Ouazane claims Ajax ‘Goal of the Month’ award with stunning strike
Moroccan international Abdellah Ouazane has been honoured with AFC Ajax Goal of the Month for March after delivering an eye-catching performance in the Dutch second tier.
The young midfielder, who features for Jong Ajax, earned the accolade following a brilliant goal in his side’s 3-2 win over FC Den Bosch. Ouazane showcased his technical quality with a composed solo effort, gliding past two defenders before finishing with precision.
He also played a decisive role in the victory by providing assists for his team’s second and third goals.
The recognition highlights what has been a steadily impressive season for the emerging talent. Ouazane has continued to grow in influence, contributing four goals and six assists so far, underlining his creativity and attacking presence from midfield.
In the aftermath of the announcement, the midfielder recreated the award-winning goal during a training session, a moment that quickly caught the attention of both teammates and supporters.
Ouazane’s rise has been building momentum since his standout performances at the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, where he was named Best Player and played a key role in guiding Morocco to their first title in the competition.
He was also linked with a move to Real Madrid during the previous summer transfer window, although the proposed deal ultimately fell through.
With his development accelerating and his reputation continuing to grow, Ouazane is increasingly being recognised as one of Morocco’s most exciting young football prospects.
