Clear and decisive security arrangements have been put in place ahead of this weekend’s highly anticipated CAF Champions League encounter between Mamelodi Sundowns and Espérance Sportive de Tunis on Saturday.

Following a security meeting involving relevant stakeholders, it has been confirmed that visiting ES Tunis supporters will be allocated a designated section in the upper stands directly behind the goal.

The entire area will be fully cleared and reserved exclusively for the Tunisian fans.

As part of the safety protocol, a strict dividing line will separate the visiting supporters from Mamelodi Sundowns fans, with no movement or crossover permitted between the two sections.

Authorities have warned that any breach of this arrangement will attract immediate consequences.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will also maintain close surveillance over the conduct of the travelling supporters, with all matchday regulations and attendance guidelines already communicated to both clubs ahead of the fixture.

CAF, under the leadership of President Patrice Motsepe, continues to emphasize safety, order, and professionalism at its elite competitions, particularly at the semifinal stage, where tensions and stakes are naturally heightened.

With the framework now firmly in place, attention shifts to the stands as much as the pitch—where officials are urging fans to adhere strictly to instructions and ensure a peaceful and controlled atmosphere throughout the matchday.

Everything is set for a tightly managed and secure showdown this weekend, with organisers stressing that disciplined fan behaviour will be key to the success of the event.

Kick off for the much anticipated game is scheduled for 16:00 GMT.
