Chibi Can 2023

Moroccan national football team player, Mohammed Al-Shaibi, emphasized the weight of responsibility on every player’s shoulders ahead of the clash with South Africa.

The right-back for “The Lions” expressed readiness during the press conference preceding the Morocco-South Africa match in the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations “Ivory Coast 2023,” stating, “We are prepared to deliver a good game to secure qualification to the quarter-finals.”

Al-Shaibi stressed that the national team adheres to the instructions of coach Walid Regragui in detail, affirming that the Moroccan team enters matches with the goal of winning and showcasing quality football.

“There are no easy matches in the Africa Cup of Nations,” highlighted Al-Shaibi, underscoring that the players will give their all to achieve victory.

Expressing gratitude to Regragui, Al-Shaibi stated, “Any player wishes to represent his country.

I thank coach Walid for the trust he placed in me.”

Regarding his issue with Hussein El-Shahat, the Egyptian Al-Ahly player, Al-Shaibi commented, “I don’t like to talk about these matters because I am focused on the national team.”

Continuing with a smile, he added, “I appreciate the unconditional support of the Moroccan fans,” and concluded, “I know that the Ivorian fans supported us to ensure their team’s qualification to the knockout stage.”

It’s worth noting that the match between the Moroccan national team and South Africa will take place today, Tuesday, starting at 9:00 PM, at the Laurent Boko Stadium in San Pedro.
