After facing significant challenges in terminating the contract of coach Djamel Belmadi due to the absence of clauses allowing the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) to terminate without compensation, FAF President Walid Sadi has instructed one of the federation’s officials to prepare a draft contract.
This contract will be presented to the upcoming coach of the Algerian national team for consideration and signing after necessary modifications.
Sadi emphasized the inclusion of a clause in the contract outlining the objectives to be achieved by the next coach. Notably, these goals revolve around shining in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco in 2025 and securing qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
This measure is designed to safeguard the federation’s treasury from any compensations in the event that Belmadi’s successor fails to achieve the agreed-upon targets.
This strategic move by the FAF seeks to establish a clear framework for the coach’s responsibilities and expectations, aligning the interests of both parties and ensuring accountability for performance in major tournaments.
The development reflects a commitment to a more structured and goal-oriented approach in managing the Algerian national football team.
