Manchester United close in on Iliman Ndiaye

Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of securing a deal for Senegal international Iliman Ndiaye ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Premier League giants are just a step away from finalising an agreement with Everton FC, ahead of a potential transfer that could see Ndiaye make a high-profile switch to Old Trafford.

The Senegal international has reportedly already given his approval to the move, with negotiations between both clubs progressing positively. Ndiaye’s long-standing admiration for Manchester United is also believed to have played a key role in accelerating the deal, as the winger has previously described the club as his boyhood dream destination.

Manchester United’s interest in Ndiaye is said to have edged out competition from other targets, including RB Leipzig winger Jan Diomande, who was also on the club’s radar. However, Ndiaye’s proven experience in the Premier League has made him a more attractive option, especially as the club looks to avoid a lengthy adaptation period for new signings.

Since joining Everton in 2024 from Olympique de Marseille for a reported €18 million, Ndiaye has impressed with his consistency and attacking output. In 64 appearances for the Toffees, he has registered 17 goals and 3 assists, showcasing his ability to contribute both in terms of creativity and end product.

His versatility, technical ability, and experience at the highest level have made him one of the standout attacking options in the league, qualities that align with Manchester United’s ambition to strengthen their attacking depth ahead of the new season.

For Everton, losing Ndiaye would represent a significant blow, but a potentially lucrative transfer fee could help reinvest in the squad as they continue to build for the future.

As the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on the final stages of negotiations, with Manchester United hoping to wrap up the deal swiftly and add Ndiaye to their ranks ahead of the new campaign.
