Franck Magri Sidelined by Toulouse Until Season End

Toulouse has confirmed that Franck Magri will be sidelined for the remainder of the season after refusing to extend his contract with the club.

The Cameroonian international, who returned to training only recently following an injury sustained on 19 January, will not feature again for Les Violets this campaign.

Toulouse’s sporting director, Viktor Bezhani, reportedly made the decision to exclude Magri, citing a mismatch between the player’s future plans and the club’s strategy.

Magri had been preparing for a return to action ahead of Toulouse’s high-profile clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite participating in training sessions, the striker was ultimately omitted from the squad, marking a major setback in his season.

“This is a difficult moment for the club and for Franck,” a club source said. “The decision was made with the long-term strategy in mind, and the player’s refusal to extend his contract played a significant role.”

The exclusion signals a turning point for Magri, who is now unlikely to represent Toulouse again this season.

With the summer transfer window approaching, attention will shift to his next move and whether he can reignite his career elsewhere.

For Toulouse, the decision removes a player who is out of contract at the end of the season, allowing the club to focus on its squad planning and upcoming fixtures.

Magri’s absence leaves a gap in the attacking line-up, which the team will need to manage as they pursue their league objectives.
