Togolese goalkeeper Malcolm Barcola is on the verge of securing a move to Irish club Dundalk FC during this transfer window. Sources indicate that the player is in the final stages of negotiations and is expected to sign a two-year contract, binding him to Dundalk FC until December 2026.

A product of the famed Olympique Lyonnais academy, Barcola parted ways with his training club in June 2021.

Following his departure, he inked a deal with FK Tuzla City in Bosnia, where he made eight appearances over 15 months.

With his contract status open since July 2023, the Togolese shot-stopper is now poised to revive his career in Ireland with Dundalk FC, a prominent club in the nation’s first division.

Reportedly, Barcola’s impressive performances during a rigorous 14-day trial with Dundalk FC won over the club’s technical management.

Subsequently, he received a contract proposal covering the next two seasons, signaling a commitment until December 2026.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper, valued at 50,000 euros on the Transfermarkt platform, is eager to finalize the deal and make a meaningful return to the Togolese national team, from which he has been absent since March 2023.

Dundalk FC, anticipating the addition of Barcola to their squad, gears up for their upcoming fixture against Shamrock Rovers on the first day of the Irish championship.

Football enthusiasts are keeping a keen eye on this potential transfer, eagerly anticipating the impact Barcola could make in Ireland’s football landscape.
