Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui is in line to rejoin the national team after recovering from the injury that ruled him out of Manchester United’s Premier League clash with AFC Bournemouth over the weekend.

“Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui has recovered from an illness and will link up with Morocco, ahead of their friendlies against Ecuador and Paraguay,” the club stated.

Despite lingering concerns over his current form, the defender has been included in the squad by new head coach Mohamed Ouahbi for the upcoming international window.

Ouahbi highlighted the player’s “great versatility,“ noting his ability to operate in multiple positions, making him a valuable option as Morocco continues to shape a competitive squad.

Morocco will take on Ecuador on March 27 at 9:15 p.m. at the Stade Riyadh Metropolitano in Madrid before facing Paraguay on March 31 at 7 p.m. at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis in Lens.

Having reached the semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the Atlas Lions are now highly rated ahead of the next global showpiece.

While the success from that tournament comes with a lot of pressure, the North Africans are confident of another good run at the 2026 edition of the mundial.

The two friendlies against Ecuador and Paraguay will be available on several international platforms, including beIN Sports, beIN Sports MENA, beIN Sports Africa, Arryadia, Al Aoula, DAZN, Fanatiz in the United States, and FuboTV.
