PSV Eindhoven monitor Moroccan prospect Sami Ouaissa
PSV Eindhoven are tracking NEC Nijmegen’s teenage forward Sami Ouaissa as part of a wider plan to recruit young players with long-term potential.
The Dutch club is closely assessing the 19-year-old Moroccan attacker, who has begun to make an impression in the Eredivisie with his versatility and attacking output.
PSV’s interest reflects a strategy focused on developing emerging talent capable of strengthening the squad over time.
Ouaissa, who is under contract with NEC Nijmegen until 2027, has featured regularly this season and is increasingly regarded as one of the club’s most promising attacking players.
Comfortable operating both centrally and on the flanks, he has drawn attention for his movement, technical ability and knack for creating space in advanced areas.
In the current campaign, Ouaissa has made 30 appearances across all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.
That return equates to a goal involvement roughly every 147 minutes, underlining his growing influence despite his relative inexperience at senior level.
His individual metrics further highlight his contribution in attack. The forward averages 1.9 successful dribbles per match and maintains an estimated pass completion rate of 83%, figures that point to his ability to link play and drive forward movements.
Ouaissa’s performances have not gone unnoticed beyond the Netherlands. Clubs from several major European leagues, including France, Germany and Italy, are also monitoring his development.
The level of interest reflects the potential he has shown at an early stage in his career.
However, a move within the Eredivisie remains a realistic possibility. PSV see Ouaissa as a player who could be gradually introduced into their system, allowing him to develop further before taking the next step in his career.
The forward’s current market valuation is estimated at €5m, though that figure could rise if he continues to produce consistent performances in the months ahead.
