FIFA and Coca-Cola launched the third World Cup trophy tour at the feet of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro. The solid gold trophy, which the winner will lift in the 2014 World Cup, will tour 89 countries for 267 days. The tour aims to provide a unique experience for football fans worldwide, allowing them to see the legendary trophy in person. The tour will include stops in African countries such as Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, and Ghana. The launch ceremony featured representatives from each of Brazil’s World Cup victories. The trophy’s first stop will be in Tahiti.
