Emam Ashour rallies Al Ahly fans after Man-of-the-Match display in victory over Al Mokawloon

Emam Ashour has called on supporters of Al Ahly SC to continue backing the team after delivering a standout performance in their 3–1 victory over Al Mokawloon Al Arab SC in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday evening.

The Red Devils produced an impressive display in the Round 21 encounter, with goals from Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Ashour, and Hussein El Shahat securing an important three points.

The result lifted Al Ahly to 40 points on the league table, drawing them level with rivals Zamalek SC and Pyramids FC, who currently occupy the top two positions, while Al Ahly sit third on goal difference in what is shaping up to be a fiercely contested title race.

Ashour played a pivotal role in the victory, scoring one goal and providing the assist for the opener. His all-round performance earned him the Man of the Match award.

Speaking in a video shared on Al Ahly’s official Facebook page after the game, the midfielder congratulated the club and its supporters for the crucial win.

“Congratulations to Al Ahly, its fans and players on the victory,” Ashour said.

He also urged supporters to remain firmly behind the team as the season heads into its decisive stages.

“We are waiting for the fans’ support in the upcoming competitions and matches, and God willing, the league title will go to Al Ahly,” he added.

With the Egyptian Premier League title race tightening, Al Ahly will be hoping performances like Ashour’s continue as they push to climb to the top of the table and secure another domestic crown.
