Bayern Munich is weighing up a move for Victor Osimhen as it plans for life after Harry Kane in the coming years.

While Kane is under contract until 2027 and not expected to leave this summer, the club’s hierarchy, led by sporting director Max Eberl, is determined to be prepared for any scenario amid reported interest from top European clubs and Saudi Arabia.

Osimhen, now starring for Galatasaray, has been in impressive form this season, scoring 17 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions. His pace, power and penalty-box instincts make him a natural fit for Bayern’s traditional number nine role, and head coach Vincent Kompany is understood to be a firm admirer of the Nigerian striker’s profile.

Reports indicate that Bayern are one of a select few clubs capable of triggering a release clause in Osimhen’s contract, which runs until 2029, making a future transfer financially realistic for the German champions.

Such a move would also mark a return to the Bundesliga for Osimhen, who previously played for Wolfsburg earlier in his career.
