Kenya confirmed for 2026 FIFA Series in Rwanda
Kenya national football team will take part in the 2026 FIFA Series during the March international window, with fixtures now confirmed for the mini-tournament in Kigali.
The Harambee Stars are scheduled to open their campaign against Estonia national football team on 27 March at 18:00 local time at Amahoro Stadium.
The match forms part of a four-team competition designed to provide structured international friendlies.
Kenya’s second fixture will be determined by the outcome of the tournament’s other opening match between Rwanda national football team and Grenada national football team.
Under the competition format, the winner of the first match will face the winner of the second match, while the two losing sides will also meet.
Both fixtures are scheduled for 30 March at Amahoro Stadium, with the losers’ match kicking off at 18:00 and the winners’ match at 21:00.
The FIFA Series has been created to offer national teams competitive matches against opponents from different confederations within an organised framework.
For Kenya, it represents an opportunity to test themselves against unfamiliar opposition while strengthening team chemistry.
The timing of the tournament is seen as significant for the Harambee Stars as they continue preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
Competitive fixtures during the international window provide a platform for assessment and tactical development as the squad looks to build consistency.
