Tunisian FA to review appeal over League election result

An appeal challenging the outcome of the National Professional Football League elections will be examined on 26 February by the electoral appeals committee of the Tunisian Football Federation.

The complaint was lodged by the list led by Oukail Ben Hassine following the election of the new board on 14 February 2026.

The appeal focuses primarily on the conduct and procedures of the electoral process.

The federation confirmed that representatives of both competing lists have been summoned to attend a hearing scheduled for Thursday at 11:30 local time.

The session will take place at the federation’s headquarters.

The dispute stems from the elective general assembly held earlier this month, during which the list headed by Oukail Ben Hassine was defeated by that of Walid Ben Mohamed.

The result determined the composition of the new leadership of the National Professional Football League.

According to the federation’s announcement, the appeals committee will review the arguments presented by the complainant and hear from both parties before reaching its decision.

The examination of the appeal marks the next formal step in the process following the contested vote.

The February 14 assembly had concluded with Walid Ben Mohamed’s list securing victory, but the aftermath has been overshadowed by the challenge brought forward by their opponents.

The appeal centres on how the election was organised and conducted, rather than on the final tally itself.

With both camps now due to present their positions before the committee, attention will turn to the outcome of Thursday’s hearing.

The federation’s ruling will determine whether the electoral process stands as validated or whether further measures are required.
