Andres Iniesta backs Lamine Yamal for future Ballon d’Or glory

Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta believes Lamine Yamal has everything it takes to one day win the Ballon d’Or, as long as he keeps growing on and off the pitch.

Speaking about the 18-year-old winger’s future, Iniesta highlighted both his extraordinary skill and mature mentality.

“A Ballon d’Or for Lamine Yamal? It’s a matter of him continuing to improve. He has immense talent, and just as importantly, he has the work ethic to match it,” Iniesta said. He stressed how demanding it is for any young player to reach that level, but insisted Yamal “possesses all the qualities needed to get there.”

Iniesta also underlined the excitement Yamal brings to Barcelona and Spain fans alike, describing him as “a very positive presence” whose development will be fascinating to follow in the coming years.

With Yamal already a decisive figure for club and country as a teenager, the words of one of Barcelona’s all time great midfielders only reinforce the feeling that he is destined for the very top of the game.
