Bukayo Saka urges Arsenal to get back to basics after Wolves draw

Bukayo Saka has played down talk of pressure in the title race and instead called on Arsenal to focus on rediscovering their usual standards after the 2-2 draw against Wolves.

Speaking after the game, the winger was clear about what needs to change for the league leaders.

When asked about the weight of expectation, Saka replied: “No, I don’t think about all of that. I just think we need to just get back to our level, just do the basics right. And we’ve got more than enough quality in this team to win games, especially the games where we’ve been dropping points recently. We just need to fix that and that’s all our focus is right now.”

Despite the late setback at Molineux, Arsenal sit top of the Premier League table with 58 points from 27 matches, keeping them in a strong position heading into the decisive phase of the season.

Next up is a huge North London derby away to Tottenham on February 22 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where Arsenal will aim to respond immediately and show they can turn Saka’s words into action.
