Eight clubs reach CAF Champions League quarter-finals after group stage conclusion
The line-up for the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League has been confirmed following the completion of the sixth and final round of group matches.
Eight teams progressed to the knockout stage, split into two pots according to their finishing positions.
Pot 1 – group winners:
- Pyramids FC
- Al Ahly
- Al Hilal
- Stade Malien
Pot 2 – runners-up:
- RS Berkane
- AS FAR
- Mamelodi Sundowns
- Espérance de Tunis
According to the competition rules, the sides that finished second in their groups will host the opening leg of the quarter-final ties, with the group winners playing the return matches at home.
Clubs that met during the group phase cannot be drawn against each other in the last-eight round.
The first-leg fixtures are scheduled to be played between 13 and 15 March, with the second legs set for 20 to 22 March.
The draw will therefore determine the next opponents for each qualified team as they continue their continental campaigns.
