Egyptian international Mohammed Salah has singled out Hungary midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai for praise, stressing Liverpool’s FA Cup title ambitions largely depend on him.
Szoboszlai starred as the Premier League giants thumped Brighton and Hove Albion 3-0 to book a place in the next round of the Cup competition.
The Seagulls struggled to cope with Liverpool’s intensity, inspired by the outstanding connection between Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah, whose understanding on the pitch was close to flawless.
After the match, Salah was full of admiration for his Hungarian teammate, underlining just how crucial Szoboszlai has become to Liverpool’s rise under head coach Arne Slot.
“Our success in the FA Cup will largely depend on Szoboszlai’s performance, because this season we’ve relied on him a lot,” the Liverpool winger admitted.
Meanwhile, the former Chelsea and Roma winger has ranked Szoboszlai among the best players in the world
“Right now, he is among the best players in the world. I wish him to keep up this momentum,” he added.
The numbers reinforce that praise. Szoboszlai has established himself as the engine of Liverpool’s midfield, making 35 appearances this season, scoring 10 goals and delivering 7 assists—figures that highlight his growing influence at Anfield.
