The coach of the Burkina Faso national football team, Paul Put, along with the Burkinabe Football Federation (FBF), has announced the 23-man squad for the upcoming match against Gabon, which is the last qualifying match for the 2014 World Cup. Notably, Alain Traoré is included in the list despite being injured since the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN).
Burkina Faso still has a chance to qualify for the World Cup playoffs with a victory over Gabon, provided Congo, the group leader, performs poorly in their match against Niger.
