The Egyptian national team in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, football authorities have taken an unprecedented step – sacrificing a calf and distributing its meat to the poor and needy.
The move aims to break the pattern of draws and secure victories in the upcoming matches, serving as a preventive measure against injuries after several players recently suffered setbacks.
This decision comes in response to the injuries that hit the ranks of the Pharaohs, specifically impacting the trio of Mohamed Salah, the national team captain, Mohamed El-Shennawy, the goalkeeper, and Imam Ashour, a midfielder for Al Ahly.
