The Egyptian Olympic Committee, under the leadership of Engineer Yasser Idris, mourns the late Amer Farouk, Deputy Chairman of Al Ahly Club and former Minister of Sports, who passed away on Friday after a battle with illness.
In a heartfelt statement, the Olympic Committee conveyed its condolences, stating, “To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
With hearts believing in the decree of Allah, we mourn with great sorrow and grief the departure of the deceased Amer Farouk, Deputy Chairman of Al Ahly Club and former Minister of Sports, after a journey of dedication and long service, where he devoted his life to serving Al Ahly Club and Egyptian sports.”
The Olympic Committee continued, “Our sincere condolences to Al Ahly Club, its members, and its fans in this painful affliction.
We pray to the Almighty, the Exalted, to encompass the deceased with His vast mercy and approval, to place him in His spacious gardens, and to grant his family and loved ones patience and solace.
To Allah, we belong, and to Him, we shall return.”
The Egyptian Football Association, headed by Jamal Al-Amal, and all its staff also expressed their condolences for the loss of Amer Farouk, Deputy Chairman of the Al Ahly Club and former Minister of Youth and Sports.
They prayed that the Almighty would envelop him in His wide mercy, grant him His satisfaction, and inspire patience and comfort to his family and loved ones.
Similarly, the Management Board of the Municipality of Mahalla mourned the passing of Amer Farouk. Dr. Mustafa El-Shami, the president, extended his heartfelt condolences, asking the Almighty to embrace the deceased with His vast mercy and approval, and to admit him into His spacious gardens.
He also prayed for patience and solace for his family and relatives.
Tarek Qandil, a member of the Al Ahly Club’s Management Board, expressed his condolences through a social media post, saying, “To Allah, we belong and to Him, we shall return.
We mourn our dear friend and brother, Amer Farouk. May Allah have mercy on the dear one and make his suffering during his illness a credit to his good deeds.
We have lost a dear friend and a beloved brother.
May Allah grant him paradise, mercy, forgiveness, and inspire us with patience in his absence.”
Ahmed Shobier also mourned the late Amer Farouk, Deputy Chairman of Al Ahly, expressing his condolences on social media.
“To Allah, we belong and to Him, we shall return.
In the demise of Amer Farouk, Deputy Chairman of Al Ahly… May Allah embrace the departed with His vast mercy, admit him into His spacious gardens, and grant his family and loved ones patience and solace.
To Allah, we belong, and to Him, we shall return.”
The management of Zamalek Club, led by Captain Hussein Labib, also expressed their condolences, stating, “Zamalek Club and its Management Board, with deep sorrow and sadness, mourn Amer Farouk, Deputy Chairman of Al Ahly Club, who passed away today after a rich history of work in administrative and sports fields.”
The statement continued, “The Management Board of Zamalek Club extends its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and the Management Board of Al Ahly Club, praying to the Almighty to envelop him with His vast mercy, to place him in His spacious gardens, and to grant patience and solace to his family and loved ones. To Allah, we belong, and to Him, we shall return.”
