Karim Adeyemi has once again drawn attention for events off the pitch rather than his form for Borussia Dortmund.
The 24-year-old forward, already under criticism for the mystery box scandal and his refusal to shake hands with coach Niko Kovac, is now in the spotlight after appearing in the latest music video by his wife, rapper Loredana.
Adeyemi shared a clip of the video on Instagram, where he features during the line “Pumpgun, the situation is getting nasty. Haaland has the same market value as Adeyemi.”
According to Bild, Dortmund officials were not informed in advance that he would be involved in the video, which has reportedly caused irritation at the club. While players are generally free to choose how they spend their time away from football, the timing and content of Adeyemi’s appearance are seen as sensitive given his current situation and recent controversies.
With supporters and club management already scrutinising his behaviour, this latest incident is unlikely to ease the pressure on him at Dortmund.
