Ivory Coast international, Seko Fofana marked a memorable milestone to his loan spell at FC Porto, scoring his first goal for the club in stalemate against Sporting CP in the Portuguese top-flight on Monday night.
Fofana, who joined Porto in the winter transfer window from Stade Rennes made substitute appearance in the high-stake clash, as his outfit settled for a 1-1 draw against Sporting CP at the Estádio Do Dragao.
The first half of the match ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net. However, the int4oduction of Fofana in the 63rd-minute proved to be the turning points, scoring in the 76th-minute mark to put his side ahead.
FC Porto were cruising to victory until Luis Suárez scored from the spot deep into stoppage time to secure an all-important away draw against Porto.
Despite the draw, it was a dream debut for the 30-year-old Ivorian, who had a difficult spell in the French Ligue 1 with Rennes before joining FC Porto on loan this winter.
Fofana signed a six month loans deal with the Portuguese giants and is expected to return to Stade Rennes at the end of the season.
