Senegal’s Africa Cup of Nations trophy will tour the country’s 14 regions from 7 to 15 February as part of a nationwide celebration following its initial public display in Dakar.

After being showcased at the Presidential Palace, the Prime Minister’s Office and the National Assembly, the 2025 AFCON trophy will now be taken across the country to allow supporters outside the capital to see the symbol of continental success at close range.

The initiative has been organised by the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) as part of a broader effort to place the triumph within a national and inclusive setting.

The nationwide journey, officially titled the Delloo Njukkel Trophy Tour (Phase 1), is designed to bring the trophy into the heart of communities across Senegal.

The FSF says the tour aims to unite the country’s regions around a shared sporting achievement and to underline the collective dimension of the AFCON success.

From the coast to the interior, the trophy will pass through cities and towns including Joal, Saint-Louis, Tambacounda, Kolda, Ziguinchor, Dakar and Louga.

By covering the full national territory, organisers hope to ensure that the celebrations are not confined to a single area, but instead reflect the nationwide support behind Senegalese football.

The programme is structured around a daily itinerary, with the trophy stopping in multiple locations each day. The tour begins on Saturday, 7 February 2026, in Joal and Thiès.

On Sunday, 8 February, the trophy will be displayed in Saint-Louis and Matam, before continuing to Tambacounda and Kédougou on Monday, 9 February.

On Tuesday, 10 February, the tour moves on to Kolda and Sédhiou. The following day, Wednesday, 11 February, stops are scheduled in Ziguinchor, Kaolack and Kaffrine. On Thursday, 12 February, the trophy is expected in Mbacké, Fatick and Mbour.

Friday, 13 February will see the tour reach Rufisque, Keur Massar, Pikine and Guédiawaye, before Phase 1 concludes on Sunday, 15 February, with final stops in Diourbel and Louga.

This first phase of the Delloo Njukkel Trophy Tour is set to be followed by a second stage, which will extend the initiative to Senegal’s remaining 25 departments.

Through this approach, the federation aims to sustain the celebratory momentum while reinforcing the trophy’s status as a symbol belonging to the entire nation.
