TSG Hoffenheim have confirmed the signing of 20-year-old centre forward Yannick Eduardo from Dutch club FC Dordrecht.
Details regarding the length of the contract have not yet been disclosed.
Hoffenheim sporting director Frank Kramer commented on the acquisition, stressing that the club believes he fits into the team’s playing style.
“Yannick is a fast, strong header of the ball, a centre forward who brings the necessary goal threat and whose profile fits our playing style very well. He demonstrated this with his goals in the first half of this season. He is expected to gain regular and valuable match experience with our U23 team and develop towards our Bundesliga level in the long term,” he said.
Eduardo, who trained at RB Leipzig, holds both Czech and Dutch citizenship and has roots from Angola.
TSG Hoffenheim expects him to gradually adapt to German football, using the U23 setup as a stepping stone toward competing at the Bundesliga level.
