Abdoulaye Fall, president of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), described the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 trophy as “the ultimate symbol of our shared success” during its official presentation ceremony at the Léopold Sédar Senghor stadium.
Speaking in front of Minister of Youth and Sports Khady Diène Gaye, national coach Pape Thiaw, sports authorities, supporters, and media representatives, Fall highlighted that the triumph went beyond football.
“We are gathered here not only to celebrate a sporting victory, but to present to the Nation, through you Madam Minister, the supreme symbol of our common success: the Africa Cup of Nations trophy,” he said.
Fall stressed that the victory reflects national unity, teamwork, and the dedication of all involved in Senegal’s historic campaign.
For the FSF president, the trophy embodies values of discipline, perseverance, and patriotism, which guided the Lions of Teranga throughout the tournament.
“The achievement is not only for the players or coaching staff, but for everyone who contributed to this success,” Fall added.
He praised the unwavering support of state authorities and the Senegalese public, emphasizing that the triumph resulted from a collaborative effort between institutions, the coaching team, players, and fans.
The ceremony underscored the significance of the victory for Senegal, symbolising not only sporting excellence but also a sense of national pride and cohesion.
Fall’s remarks reinforced the idea that the AFCON 2025 title represents a shared achievement, celebrating the collective contributions of the entire footballing community.
As Senegal continues to bask in the glory of the continental crown, the FSF president’s words framed the win as more than just a trophy, highlighting the broader social and patriotic importance of the team’s success and the enduring bond between the Lions and their supporters.
