Ahmed Sami, the head coach of Smouha’s football team, expressed his satisfaction with a decisive 2-0 victory over in the third round of the League Cup.
“We succeeded in overcoming an organized team, and I extend my gratitude to the players for their commitment and manly performance despite the impactful absences, with the team missing key players like El Maghribi, Hakim, Tarek Alaa, and Hossam Hassan.
Nevertheless, we achieved an important win and qualified deservedly, despite stumbling at the beginning against the Municipality team,” stated Sami.
He added, “We have closed the chapter of Sayed El Balad, and we will have a 24-hour break before preparing immediately for the fierce encounter against Ceramica.”
Sami emphasized that the League Cup, in addition to its significance as a championship, serves as valuable preparation for the league’s return, helping to condition and equip the players through a series of official matches.
