The Egyptian Football Association have tasked coach Hossam Hassan to steer the Pharaohs to knockout stage qualification at the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament.
The global showpiece, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will feature an expanded 48-team format, with Egypt securing one of Africa’s nine automatic slots.

The Pharaohs will hold a training camp in March 2026, during which they will play two friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Spain, scheduled to be held in Qatar.
