The Confederation of African Football has officially announced the date and match officials for the CAF Champions League group stage encounter between Renaissance Berkane and Pyramids FC of Egypt.
The fourth round fixture will see RS Berkane travel to Egypt to face Pyramids FC next Sunday, February 1, with the match scheduled to take place at the Air Defense Stadium.
CAF has appointed a Mauritanian refereeing team to handle the encounter, led by Abdel Aziz Bouh. He will be assisted by Hamdine Diba and Khalidou Ba, while Moussa Dio has been named as the fourth official.
The match commissioner will be Yaqoub Ali from Djibouti, with Koko Djoubi of Togo assigned as the referee assessor. Mohamed Jidou, also from Mauritania, will serve as the general coordinator for the fixture.
The upcoming clash follows a goalless draw between the two sides in the third round, which was played at the Municipal Stadium in Berkane. That result left both teams level on points at the top of Group One.
Renaissance Berkane currently lead the group on goal difference with seven points, the same tally as Pyramids FC. Rivers United of Nigeria and Zambia’s Power Dynamos trail behind, each with one point after three matches.
