Jalal Al-Qadri, the head coach of the Tunisian national team, has announced his departure from the Eagles of Carthage following their exit from the Africa Cup of Nations, especially as the contract between him and the Tunisian Football Federation expires if they fail to reach the tournament’s semi-finals.
During the press conference for the Tunisia vs. South Africa match, Al-Qadri stated, “I will leave the Tunisian national team because these are the terms of the contract between us.
If we do not succeed in reaching the semi-finals, the agreement between the two parties will come to an end.”

He added, “We gave everything in the three matches. Unfortunately, luck was not on our side, and our aspiration was to reach the semi-finals; that was our specific goal.”
Tunisia’s national team had two draws and one loss in the group stage. They suffered a setback in the first round against Namibia with a 1-0 defeat before drawing 1-1 against Mali and South Africa, respectively, in the third round.
